Watersports Pavilion Cyprus
A design exercise exploring a watersports pavilion on the western coast of Cyprus, positioned on a stone breakwater where the land meets thea sea. Clad in natural timber, the structure blends into its surroundings, elevated above the beach to preserve the natural habitat while creating a seamless transition from the sandy beach to the water.
A shaded deck runs its length, dividing public and private zones. One portion houses the watersports facilities, with a reception and equipment stores for rentals, bookings, and instruction. Changing rooms provide comfort for visitors, alongside a small refreshments bar and a secluded courtyard for relaxation.
The other portion of the pavilion includes the instructors office with fully glazed façade offering uninterrupted views of the bay. Thoughtfully integrated into its setting, the pavilion is both a functional hub for watersports and a quiet retreat at the water’s edge.
