We were appointed to design the new headquarters building for Iacovou in 2012, the largest construction company in Cyprus.

Iacovou has a very strong brand, and wanted a building which was bespoke for them and expressed their identity inherently. Our starting point was to use the I beams of the company logo to create a ‘Constructivist’ proposal, expressing their identity and also allowing them to show off their construction skills with their own building.

Beyong the visual and material, the building has a central atrium with a heavy concrete roof perforated with circular glass block ‘tiles’, supported by red I beams, and three wings of office accommodation planned on 1.5×1.5 planning grids, to accommodate the staff within three grey ‘mega-beams’.
